Water Docs Film Festival 4p4g1k
The Water Docs Film Festival, from March 21 to 29 at Jackman Hall at the AGO, just south of McCaul and Dundas St. W., is all about water. Capitalizing on rising public concern about water and the growing popularity of documentary storytelling, it begins with a 24-hour celebration of water, to signify World Water Day with films about water and water issues. This Festival will highlight both feature films and shorts about water and the schedule includes discussions with filmmakers and experts from the water community.

Water Front Festival of International Films Lavasa m6m2
The only festival organized and presented by the senior citizen community at the famed Ashiana Utsav Lavasa set in picturesque Sahyadri hills of Maharashtra, India, the Waterfront Festival of International Films and offers a flavorful palette of films that routinely attracts cineastes from all over the world. The first edition of the festival will feature more than 100 films and present juried and awards in a range of competitive categories -- including Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best International Film, and Best Short Film.
The 2016 Film Festival will feature the finest films from all countries. On the awards’ night select filmmakers will enjoy complimentary local hospitality, an intimate and friendly atmosphere conducive to networking with some of the most gifted artists of today, and eye-opening industry personnel at the most prestigious Ashiana Utsav Club House in Lavasa.
The objectives of Waterfront Festival of International Film Festival, Lavasa through its festival, workshops and indulgence are dedicated to nurturing and encouraging new filmmaking talent, honouring the great masters of world cinema and providing audiences with a unique opportunity to engage in an appreciation of and a conversation about the art of cinema as it is represented around the world.

An International film festival in Lavasa would primarily fill two primary gaps – that of having an International Film Festival in an ideal location that is most befitting for the development of the creative industry and that of giving people in the region access to a wide variety of cinema.
Lavasa is a highly visible tourist destination across the world and has to have a film technology & business culture that is not visible to the world in of being an ideal location. At the same time, Lavasa is already emerging as attractive destination for National and International film makers establishing credits of a number of high end films and ments which have been successfully shot in the mesmerizing hill city of Lavasa. A film festival in Lavasa could therefore help synergize all the advantageous opportunities and over a period of time, work as a catalyst to convert the city into a prime focus of global cinema – be in of viewing, making or celebrating.
The founders of Waterfront Festival of International Films, therefore decided to start a virtual festival that will evolve into a grand showcase of world independent cinema in the beautiful lake side city set in the bosom of spectacular lush green hills, where we would be able to showcase cinema from all over the world and celebrate the festivity. We Care Film Festival on Disability Issues 2m2sf
I am the Media Consultant for the We Care Film Festival on Disability Issues, which is unique in the sense that it is not an annual event.
We collect films in four categories - up to one minute, up to five minutes, up to 30 minutes, and up to one hour. We then take them to educational, social and disability institutions.
Awards are also presented to the three best films in each category, on 3 May which marks World Disability Day.
We charge a small amount for those who enter their films, but we do not charge any money for screening the films and workshop - except for travel and stay if it outside the city in which we live - New Delhi (capital of India).
