The Marché du Film is thrilled to announce the winner of the Goes to Cannes Award: Virtuous Woman directed by Cíntia Domit Bittar and produced by Ana Paula Mendes and the director herself.
Selected by Goes to Cannes Partner Festival Festival do Rio, the film follows a group of Christian women at a luxury retreat, where a witch legend begins to unravel their reality in chilling ways.
Cíntia Domit Bittar’s bold, genre-bending project is a testament to Brazil’s fearless storytelling and vibrant creative scene. This award is an especially meaningful highlight, particularly as Brazil has been named Country of Honour for the 2025 Marché du Film.
We extend our thanks to Sideral Cinema, the Spanish film studio specializing in the sales and distribution of international independent films, for their generous contribution of a €10,000 MG, ing yet another standout in international indie cinema.
Congratulations to Cíntia Domit Bittar, Ana Paula Mendes, and their team for their win and their outstanding project — the journey is just beginning!
